Shipping can be really confusing! So below is a little bit of information regarding our shipping. 

 

Time Frame

As we try to only sell the products that we have physical stock of, this allows a quick turn around for shipping. There are two main time frames for dispatch of shipments. These are; domestic Australia orders and International orders outside of Australia. Yes we do ship globally.

Note* Ants Australia is open Tuesday to Friday. Monday is for Anting! *

 

Australian Orders
Australian orders are posted via Australia post express. This is usually a next day delivery service unless your location is far from a major city in Australia. If orders are placed before 3pm (Melbourne Time) on a weekday, then we will try our best to ship your order the same day and you will have it the next day. Otherwise It will be shipped the following day. Orders placed after 3pm are shipped next business day too.

International Orders
International orders are posted through Australia Post and their partner carriers. Each order is tracked and depending on where you are located 80% of orders will usually take less than 8 days to arrive. International orders are dispatched twice a week; Tuesday and Friday. The shipping of International orders is a lot more time consuming as we need to pack the order very carefully and fill out extra paperwork. The true cost of shipping internationally is only known once it has been sent and if we have overcharged for the postage we will refund the difference in the next 5 days after shipping.

 

Shipping By Weight

Shipping for all of our products is calculated by adding up the weight of the order and allocating that to the right weight division. If we over charge you for shipping we will refund the amount we have overcharged by once the item is shipped.

Below is some information to help you understand the weight of shipping. We have two standard shipping sizes. Anything over 2kg as an order will need to be custom packaged.

 

 

500 gram

The 500g is your friend. If your products once packaged go over the 500g threshold it will be automatically placed in the next category which is usually double the cost (excluding Australian Domestic orders). Here is a helpful guide to understand what will fit in the 500g catagory:

  • Ytong Nest Size02 x 2*
  • Ytong Nest Size03 x 1
  • Ytong Nest Size02 x 1 and Ytong Nest Size01 x 1
  • Ytong Nest Size03 x 1 and Ytong Nest Size01 x 1 *

*These packs are right on the 500g limit so please do not order many accessories.

 
 

1 kilogram

The 1kg category is for packaged weights that are from 501g to 1000g. In is category you can fit quite a lot. Below are a couple of examples:

  • Ytong Nest Size01 x 6
  • Ytong Nest Size02 x 5*
  • Ytong Nest Size03 x 4*
  • Ytong Nest Size04 x 2
  • Ytong Nest Size05 x 1
  • Ytong Nest Size06 x 1*

*These packs are right on the 1000 gram limit so please do not order many accessories.

 
 

Over 1 kilogram

For orders that are over 1001 grams, we will need to calculate the shipping at the checkout. A good guide to follow is the examples above in the 500 and 1000 gram categories. 

The best way to calculate the shipping charge is to add the items in question to the cart and have it calculate the shipping for you. Just remember that if we do accidentally over charge you for the shipping we will refund the difference!
