OUR STORY

Aus Ants started back in 2012 as "Ants Australia", a YouTube channel dedicated to the creation of informative, high quality documentaries and tutorials. We've always had a deep interest in the natural world and all the different animals which inhabit it. We are especially interested in ants as, just like us, they're highly social beings. The way in which they communicate and cooperate with other members of their colony can prove to be an incredibly intricate and fascinating process.

Our mission

Ants make excellent bio-indicators, the more ant species occupying an area, the more diversity of life will be present. By building others admiration for these little animals, we hope to encourage the conservation and restoration of their natural habitats. Helping return wildlife to its former glory!

What we do

We highlight the complexity and beauty of the natural world by focusing on, what we believe to be, the most overlooked and enchanting creatures on this planet, ants!

Primarily, we do this by producing quality, original photography and videography, but we love getting out and engaging directly with people too. We do numerous presentations for schools, and have recently guest appeared on a new TV series called "Brainbuzz" (as featured on Channel 9 GoKids). We are always open to new opportunities!

To support and nurture the small, but dedicated ant keeping communities in Australia and abroad; we also design and craft a range of world leading products specifically designed and formulated for the successful keeping of ants, without sacrificing on observation quality and aesthetics. Our products are not only professional grade (utilized globally by laboratories and universities) but are also, environmentally sustainable, and completely non-toxic.

Ants are not only efficient, they are hard-working and thrifty, qualities which have always seemed like good reasons for seeing them as virtuous role models.
